Christopher Omar Boonstra

Passed away, Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

He was the much-loved son of Bonnie and Tony Boonstra of Ashton. Chris will be deeply missed by his family: daughter Christian and siblings Anthony (Sahra), Jodi Chappell (Ken Palmason), Luke (Shelly), Kara (Chris Courneya), and Joshua. Chris was an uncle to ten nieces and nephews but especially close to his nephew Roman and his younger brother Josh. Jody Driscoll was a long-time friend and will miss him as well. Chris was a beloved nephew and will be fondly remembered by aunts, uncles, and cousins in various parts of the USA. He also had many extended family members in Western Canada.

Chris loved connecting with others, especially around shared interests and hobbies. Chris was passionate about cooking and much of his career was spent as a cook and as a baker. His baked gourmet treats were legendary at family gatherings.
Arrangements for a celebration of life are being made and will be announced at a later date.

A memorial fund to honour Chris’s life is being set up by his family. Arrangements entrusted to the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place.
