CORKERY – Last weekend (Aug. 15 and 16) the Greensmere Golf and Country Club found out who its 2026 club champions would be.

CARP – The U20 Canadian Fast Pitch Championship got underway today (Aug. 4) and the home team West Carleton Electric delivered an instant classic for their many fans in attendance in their opening game of the tournament.

KINBURN – After an idea was floated at the end of last year, some industrious volunteer coaches have put together West Carleton’s first U11 girls’ softball team.

SYDENHAM – The West Carleton U20 Electric team passed its first big test on the road to the national championship later this summer in Carp by claiming silver during last weekend’s provincial championship.

KINBURN – It was a home field win for the Kinburn Blue last week (July 8), winning the West Carleton softball league championship under the lights.

KANATA – After three years at Eagle Creek, the Commissionaires Ottawa Open Presented by Lépine Apartments will be held at The Marshes, a terrific golf course with maybe the toughest hole in Ottawa.

ASHTON – It was another big year for the ninth annual EY Golf Quest 4 Clinical Trials charity golf tournament which attracts dozens of professional hockey players and hundreds of fans, raising millions of dollars in support of medical research.

MOONEY’S BAY – A strong showing in the 200-metre sprint at the 2026 Canadian Track and Field Championship meant Carp’s Will Batley will leave the national championship with one medal in two events.

CARP – The West Carleton Electric U20 team battled stiff competition while Carp Shootout organizers battled the weather in a weekend filled with top notch fastball at the Carp Fairgrounds.
