Huntley Township Historical Society, Thurs. May 21, at 2:00 PM at the Mess Hall on Craig Sideroad in Carp. Our guest speaker will be Howard Healey presenting his research on local Cemeteries. It will feature an overview of burial practices used by early settlers, as well as information about the first Anglican, Presbyterian and Methodist Churches and their Cemeteries in lower Huntley Township. He will focus on the history of the Huntley United (Methodist) Cemetery from its establishment in 1850 to present day. All these Cemeteries are located along the Carp Road.
