CARP – A made in Carp idea, St. Paul’s United Church is twin’ing with the Blessed Virgin Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Ottawa to provide much needed supplies to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine as Russia’s assault on the devastated country surpasses the 100-day mark.

VYDON ACRES – The air over Vydon Acres was buzzing all weekend long with the sound of radio control airplanes taking part in the Arnprior Remote Control Club’s (ARCC) first open event in more than two years.

WEST CARLETON – A severe storm blew through West Carleton this afternoon (May 21) toppling trees, damaging homes, and creating power outages across the city, but community members and residents are already clearing the debris.

WEST CARLETON – Over the last couple months the Rural Transit Solutions (RTS) group has shared information on rural transit challenges, collected information on that same topic, and once again, shared that information, this time with a city committee May 5, as the volunteer organization endeavours to provide a solution to public transit roadblocks for rural residents.

DUNROBIN – Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) volunteers made short work of a project three years in the making Saturday (May 7) morning, bringing trees back to the Dunrobin Community Centre.

FITZROY HARBOUR – Kanata-Carleton MP Jenna Sudds’ first Rural Roundtable, held last night (April 27) at the Fitzroy Harbour Community Centre gave eight West Carleton residents an intimate opportunity to ask their federal representative anything they wanted.

CARP – It was the largest indoor gathering of people in West Carleton in more than two years as around 1,000 women filled the W. Erskine Johnston Arena Friday (April 22) for the triumphant return of Carp Fair Ladies Night.
