WEST CARLETON – If you’re taking advantage of the free OFSC trail pass this weekend, make sure to stop in at the West Carleton Snowmobile Trail Association (WCSTA) Trailside Barbecue.

“We will have hot dogs, hot chocolate, coffee, donuts and a warm fire,” the WCSTA said in a statement.

The barbecue goes Sunday, Feb. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You’ll find the Trailside Barbecue right off the W311S trail (see map), just south of the Pakenham five-span bridge. The event will have plenty of signage and organizers ask you to slow down while approaching the event.

“Stop in to share stories, have some food and drinks, and enjoy our trails,” the WCSTA said.

Many snowmobile trails are free this weekend but you must ensure you register to qualify. You can do so here.
