St. Gabriel’s bottle drive finally good to go June 19

CONSTANCE BAY – If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.

The third time’s the charm for the St. Gabriel’s Bottle Drive this Saturday (June 19) is a definite go.

The first two bottle drives scheduled in April and May had to be cancelled due to COVID-19. But with the first step of the province’s three step economic re-opening plan from COVID-19 initiated last week, the volunteers can finally host their only fundraising event of the year.

Last year the bottle drive was the only fundraising event church volunteers could hold due to COVID-19, making it all the more important.

So far that’s the case this year as well, but with the first two cancelled due to the provincial lockdown, the pressure is on. So St. Gabriel volunteers hope you’ve been drinking this spring.

The event is at the church hall at 205 Bayview Dr. Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
