Quyon Ferry opens today

FITZROY HARBOUR – The rare news of a business opening in the age of COVID-19 is welcome news for those who traverse the Ottawa River between Fitzroy Harbour and Quyon.

The Quyon Ferry opened today (March 23) for the 2020 season. But staff are taking precautions due to the pandemick/

“Please note our reduced hours due to COVID-19,” ferry staff released in a statement yesterday. “Please respect social distancing with our staff. No visitors are permitted in wheelhouse or deckhand quarters.”

March and April hours

• Monday to Friday – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday – 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Tickets purchased in March and April will not expire until December 2020.
