GALETTA – Last week the Galetta Lawn Bowl members met for their season ending annual general meeting with the very life of the club at stake.

FITZROY HARBOUR – The West Carleton U20 Electric unloaded the bats last night (Sept. 20) scoring 14 runs to take the Fitzroy Harbour Men’s Fastball League championship in the deciding game of the three-game final series.

FITZROY HARBOUR – It will be winner take all Wednesday (Sept. 20) night as the best of three Fitzroy Harbour Men’s Fastball league championship is set to be decided on the Harbour ball diamonds starting at 8:30 p.m.

GALETTA – While the rain held off, more than 10 teams took part in the Bob Hannah Senior Pairs District Championship today on MacHardy Greens.

ARNPRIOR – Kinburn’s Curtis Proulx had to overcome a day one two-stroke deficit Labour Day Monday (Sept. 4) against a 12-time Madawaska Golf Club men’s champion (and defending champion) on day two, and that’s exactly what he did, to take home his first ever men’s club championship.

WHITBY – Kinburn’s Scott Barton landed the biggest fish during the re-imagined, long weekend Swamp Donkey Challenge held Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 2, 3) in Whitby, ON.

ARNPRIOR – Senior A hockey kicks off on Arnprior Sept. 30 as the Rivermen open the season against the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League’s (EOSHL) first dynasty.

KANATA – The National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) 2023 tackle football season kicked off Saturday (Jan. 29) and the West Carleton Wolverines went 2-1 over the weekend with the three age groups the football club has teams competing in.

CARP – The Stanley Cup came to Carp Saturday (Aug. 19) and it was brought there by a West Carleton native who now has his name etched on the greatest trophy in all sports for all eternity.

FREDERICTON – Three West Carleton Electric youth are part of the national bronze medal winning Napanee Express who just returned from Fredericton, NB, over the long weekend with some new jewelry.
