Veterans celebrate holidays at the Branch

CONSTANCE BAY – It’s an annual tradition that never gets old as veterans of the Korean war as well as residents of the Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre came to Branch 616 to celebrate the holidays.

CONSTANCE BAY – For the third time this week, a West Carleton home has been destroyed by fire. An early evening fire last night (Nov. 29) has destroyed a home at 4410 Dunrobin Rd. and left one man with out a place to live.

Bay contingent big part of IJC protest

OTTAWA – Yesterday, (Nov. 23) around 200 protesters, including a large contingent from West Carleton, rallied outside the International Joint Commission’s (IJC) offices demanding the lowering of the Lake Ontario and St. Lawrence seaway water level in order to spare the waterside residents the devastation they faced during the 2019 spring freshet.
