Carp Fair Ladies Night calling for Real Housewives April 22

By Jake Davies - West Carleton Online

CARP – One of West Carleton’s biggest female-focused parties is set to return after a three-year absence as the Carp Agricultural Society (CAS) announced yesterday (Feb. 23) Carp Fair Ladies Night will be back Friday, April 22.

“We are excited to announce the 2022 Carp Ladies Night: The Real Housewives of West Carleton,” the CAS released in a statement yesterday. “Mark your calendars, Friday, April 22.”

This is great news as the popular event was a must-attend social event in the community raising funds for, not only the CAS, but for needy community members and organizations as well. This will be the 19th time the event has been held and each year there is a different theme.

The last time West Carleton Online publisher Jake Davies attended the event was in 2017 while working for the West Carleton Review. At that event, just under 1,000 women attended drawing partygoers from West Carleton, Arnprior, Lanark County and Kanata. In 2017 the theme was Margaritaville, and the event raised $10,000 in support of Kelly-Ann Wilson who was battling Lyme disease and Tiffany Payne who was battling leukemia at the time.

In 2020, the Carp Fair Ladies Night raised funds without the party, raising $1,150 for the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation.

Aside from the date, the CAS has released few details.

“Tickets are not on sale,” the CAS said. “Please stay tuned for all details and information on when tickets will be available for purchase. We are not having a wait list for tables prior to tickets going on sale. We cannot wait to celebrate The Real Housewives of West Carleton, in person on Friday, April 22.”

And, with a theme like The Real Housewives of West Carleton, we can’t wait to see the drama unfold.
