Carleton Place adds Internet voting option

CARLETON PLACE – Town council approved the use of Internet voting for the 2018 municipal election (Oct. 22).

Voters will be able to vote in advance of Voting Day electronically. For those who prefer to vote by paper ballot, the municipality will offer that option as well. After polling has closed on Election Day, the results will be tallied and displayed in the auditorium at town hall for public viewing. The results will also be posted on the town’s website.  A frequently asked questions document is available for anyone wanting more information on the new voting options (Internet and phone).
