Beachburg Fair a COVID-19 casualty this year

BEACHBURG – Beachburg Fair organizers announced today (April 20) they will be cancelling the 2020 summer edition.

What would have been the 163 edition during the last week of July will not happen.

“In the wake of COVID-19, organizers are finding themselves in frustrating positions and they’re having to make those tough calls despite months of planning, organizing and hard work,” the board of directors released in a statement. “The Board of Directors behind the Beachburg Fair have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event planned for July.”

Organizers cite uncertainty and public safety as their deciding factors. This year’s fair was scheduled for July 23, 23 and 25. The event returns to the Beachburg fairgrounds in July of 2021.
