Another OC Transpo driver confirmed with COVID-19

OTTAWA – An OC Transpo bus driver who worked the west end of the city last week has tested positive for COVID-19.

This driver’s last day of work was April 22, and the City of Ottawa says 48 hours before the first day of symptoms can be most important for tracking the virus.

There is follow up being done with other OC Transpo staff, as well as the driver’s family and friends who could have been in close contact with him.

The driver received his COVID-19 positive diagnosis on April 28 and is self-isolating at home. 

OC Transpo is also in the process of identifying vehicles and facilities that could require an additional disinfection intervention, in addition to its enhanced disinfection process.

Customers who worry that they may have been exposed can call Ottawa Public Health at 613-580-6744 to speak to a nurse in public health or visit the OPH’s website.
