Ace on the loose for Almonte

Special to WC Online

ALMONTE – Currently, the ace is loose, but if you catch it, you can win a pile of cash with it.

The Almonte Royal Canadian Legion and Almonte General Hospital Manor Foundation (AGHFMF) have brought back their popular progressive jackpot Chase the Ace fundraiser for another hunt.

“The Almonte Legion and Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation are excited to announce they’ve launched a new round of catchtheacealmonte.ca,” AGHFMF executive director Al Roberts released in a statement last week (Feb. 8).

Tickets went on sale at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8.  The first winner will be announced Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. from the Legion.  Ticket buyers can watch the weekly announcement live on Facebook @Branch240 every Wednesday evening until the progressive jackpot is won.

This is the fourth round of Catch the Ace Almonte co-presented by the Legion and AGHFMF.

“Between our two organizations we’ve raised close to $100,000 and we’ve given out more than $140,000 in prize money,” President of the Almonte Legion Rob Madore said.  “We’re excited to be back and we’re hoping we last all 52 weeks.  That would be a big win for everyone, especially our veterans and the patients at the hospital.”

Tickets are three for 10 for $10, 50 for $20, 150 for $40 or 300 for $50 and are available at www.catchtheacealmonte.ca.

Catch the Ace Almonte is an online progressive raffle, benefiting the Almonte Legion, Branch 240, and the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation.

Sales deadline is 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday; there is no limit to the number of tickets sold for each draw.
