RRTC’s Bedtime Stories hits stage tomorrow
CONSTANCE BAY – The long-delayed Rural Root Theatre Company’s production of Bedtime Stories will hit the stage for opening night tomorrow (June 20) – the first of four performances.
The RRTC’s spring production was delayed by extreme flooding and the lack of a venue which was taken over to provide emergency services and a base of operations during extreme flooding this spring. But the water is gone, and the show must go on.
Bedtime Stories is a zany comedy that brings together six funny and touching tales presented as loosely related vignettes, featuring playwright Norm Foster’s signature comedic debacles laced with mild sexual innuendo. A cavalcade of characters with their stories linked by a late-night radio contest, a rock and roll concert, a taxi and, of course, a bed.
The Thursday night show’s curtains open at 7:30 p.m. on the RRTC’s stage at the NorthWind Wireless Fibre Centre as do evening shows on Friday and Saturday. There will also be a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m.
