CARP – Learn to curl from one of the Huntley Curling Club’s (HCC) best Saturday, April 4.
Team Frlan skip Katrina Frlan is hosting a Learn to Curl Fundraiser at the HCC Saturday, April 4 starting at 2 p.m.
“Ever want to try curling but don’t know where to start? ” Frlan released in a statement yesterday (March 8). “Come spend an hour on the ice at the Huntley Curling Club (199 Langstaff Dr.) and find out how much fun it is.”
There’s no one more qualified to show you the ropes of game of curling than Frlan. Team Frlan has been one of Ontario’s most dominant junior teams over the last several years with multiple trips to multiple national championships. West Carleton Online has covered the team for years, and you can find all that coverage here.
The one-hour workshop will raise money for a very good cause.
“All money raised will go to the Sandra Schmirler Foundation which supports babies in neonatal intensive care units across Canada,” Frlan said.
The event will be more than just a clinic.
“Fun for beginners,” Frlan said. “Bring your friends and family. Minimum age is seven to participate.”
There will also be door prizes. The cost is $25 per person and you can register or find more information by contacting Frlan at Katrinafrlan@gmail.com.
