CONSTANCE BAY – Take a run or walk through Constance Bay’s beautiful forest as the community association hosts its first ever Spring into Summer five kilometre run-walk June 8.

The Constance and Buckham’s Bay Community Association (CBBCA) is hosting its first 5 K event Sunday, June 8, and they’re pulling out all the stops highlighted by a beautiful five-km trail through Torbolton Forest.

“This is our first Run/Walk Race event right here in Constance Bay,” CBBCA director Katrin Bachmann released in a statement. “We want to embrace our beautiful nature and take advantage of the most beautiful late spring running/walking course our local Torbolton Forest has to provide. Grab your friends and family and start training for this run/walk event.”

The event comes with all sorts of mementos and keepsakes for participants of the historic event.

Registration is only $20 and includes a pre-race newsletter, race bib, race and finish line photographs, prizes for female, male and non-binary winner and a voucher for discount for post-race snacks and drinks.

“Bragging rights,” Bachmann said. “Memories you won’t forget.”

Go at your own pace, the run-walk is Sunday, June 8, starting at 10 a.m.

The deadline for registrations is Saturday, June 7 at noon and bib pick-up starts the same day between 4 to 6 p.m. or Sunday, June 8 before the race. The event is a go rain or shine.
