Wilkinson birthday celebrated at Kanata North picnic

KANATA – Kanata North Councillor Marianne Wilkinson will be hosting her final Kanata North Community Picnic on Wednesday, July 18th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Sandwell Green Park. She will also be celebrating her 80th birthday with the community she has served for 50 years, 29 of which she has been on municipal councils. This year’s event promises to be a fun filled evening for the whole family, with a free BBQ while supplies last, entertainment and activities for all ages. Parking is available in the area and cyclists will be able to park at the bike rack at the park entrance.
Thanks to the Kanata North Picnic committee and the generous support of sponsors, this community picnic continues to be a free event for all who attend. In addition to the BBQ with, hot dogs, veggie-dogs, and chips and freezies, a variety of activities and entertainment for the whole family will be on site, including bouncy rides for the kids, a petting zoo, musical entertainment and other demonstrations and displays of many Community and City Services & vehicles. Remember to bring your refillable container for free city cold tap water, as bottled water will not be available. There will also be plenty of Green Bins for food waste, napkins and paper cups on site.
