WEST CARLETON – If you want to be one of the boys and girls of summer, it’s time to get organized.

The West Carleton Softball Association (WCSA) has opened up registration for the softball season for Dunrobin and Fitzroy Harbour youth aged six to 20.

It’s a return to ‘normalcy’ for the WCSA after being forced to cancel the season in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and operating a heavily modified program in 2021 which mostly made up of drop-in scrimmages and practice.

This year, play ball. There are seven different age groups to register including Learn to Play (born 2015 to 2018), U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U20.

“Learn to play is once a week, other age groups are twice a week,” The WCSA released in a statement yesterday. “Day of the week to be determined for each age group based on registration numbers and availability of diamonds.”

The season runs from the first week of May to end of June.
