WC food access centre on book hunt

WEST CARLETON – The West Carleton Food Access Centre (WCFAC) is currently looking to fill its shelves. With books.

The food bank is gearing up for its super popular, September used book sale. The centre is looking for donations of previously loved books, DVDs, and CDs. The WCFAC wants fiction, children, cookbooks, gardening, self-help and any book except for encyclopedias or textbooks.

Donations can be brought to the WCFAC warehouse at 3075 Carp Rd., or Coun. Eli El-Chantiry’s ward office at the Kinburn Client Service Centre, 5670 Carp Rd.

You can also call 613-913-4234 and leave a message to arrange for pick up. The book sale will be happening Friday, Sept. 7, from noon to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Sep. 8, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Carp Agricultural Hall, 3790 Carp Rd.
