UPDATE: Missing Harbour woman found

UPDATE (7:45 a.m. Dec. 1) – “The Ottawa Police Service Missing Persons Section informs Lynn Monteforte has been located safe and sound,” Ottawa police released in a statement this morning. “Thank you for your assistance.”

FITZROY HARBOUR – The Ottawa police are asking West Carleton residents to keep their eyes open for Vanda Johnson.

“The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking help in locating a 79-year-old missing person, the OPS released in a statement this evening (Nov. 30). “Vanda Johnson was last seen driving a 2005 Dodge Caravan, black in colour and bearing Ontario Licence Plate BDRF 879, in Fitzroy Harbour around 6 p.m. this evening.”

The police believe she is still in West Carleton.

“People in the Fitzroy Harbour, Kinburn and Dunrobin areas of the city are asked to keep an eye out for Johnson, and call the OPS if they observe Johnson,” the OPS said. “Family and Police are concerned for her safety.”
