Teamwork nets child pornographer

Special to WC Online

OTTAWA – Working with the National Child Exploitation Coordination Cenre (NCECC) the Ottawa Police were able to take another child pornographer off of the streets.
In mid-December 2017, the NCECC forwarded the Ottawa Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) six reports they had received from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) Cyber Tip Line.
These reports identified an IP address in the Ottawa area being used to upload images of child pornography. A production order was served on the Internet Service Provider which confirmed the address of the criminal activities.
Today (Aug. 9), the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the South Keys area of Ottawa.
As a result Edward Lysen, 33-years-old, of Ottawa, is charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography, distributing child pornography and making written child pornography.
Lysen will appear at show cause court on Friday, Aug. 10.
