RENFREW COUNTY – The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) has confirmed a 20th case of COVID-19 Monday (May 25) morning.
The new case was reported over the weekend with the number of resolved cases still listed at 15. The RCDHU says 2,954 tests have been completed with 180 people still waiting for results to come back. Four current cases are now in self-isolation.
Arnprior and Renfrew lead the county in cases with seven confirmed cased in both communities. The RCDHU updates their website every day at noon with new case information and updated testing numbers.
On Friday (May 22) the local health unit declared an interim COVID-19 outbreak at Riverview Heights retirement residence in Pembroke after a resident tested positive.
To ensure the positive test result was accurate the original test is being reassessed by health officials, and the resident is being re-tested.
The RCDHU says the resident and their contacts have been isolated.
