Hudson Corn debuts tomorrow

PANMURE – A calendar year to the day, West Carleton’s favourite sweet corn, will be out of the field and ready for your kitchen starting tomorrow (July 30).
Since 1977, Hudson’s Farm Fresh Produce’s hand-picked sweet corn has been a huge hit with West Carleton and far beyond and starting Friday, this year’s crop is ready for you, and it will be available on the exact same day it was first available last season (July 30).
“Just in time for the long weekend,” Hudson Corn’s producers released in a statement yesterday (July 28). “Yay for Friday. We will be open at our Panmure Road stand starting Friday from 12 to p.m.6. We will have sweet corn, beets, beans and potatoes.”
It is expected COVID-protocols similar to last year will be in place again this year.
The Hudson team picks its corn fresh every morning for the opening of the stand. Any leftovers at the end of the day are not re-sold, so the corn is guaranteed fresh.
