Harbour community association cancels tonight’s AGM, softball season in jeopardy

FITZROY HARBOUR – Growing a long list of postponed annual general meetings, the Fitzroy Harbour Community Association (FHCA) have cancelled theirs, scheduled tonight (March 25).

“The FHCA annual general meeting was originally scheduled for March 26,” the FHCA released in a statement. “However, with the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date.”

While registration is open for the West Carleton Softball Association’s upcoming season, COVID-19 will likely delay the season if not outright cancel it.

“Softball season will be depend on Ottawa Public Health determining that sporting activities are safe to proceed,” the FHCA said. “If you register your child and we are unable to play your registration fee will be refunded.”
