WEST CARLETON – Extremely slippery conditions are expected this evening (Dec. 19) and tomorrow morning as freezing rain is expected to hit the capital.
Precipitation associated with a major weather system is expected to begin over eastern Ontario Thursday night. Several hours of freezing rain are likely Thursday night into early Friday morning before changing to rain. Freezing rain is likely to linger over the Ottawa Valley.
The threat of freezing rain should end early Friday morning as temperatures rise above the freezing mark.
Travel may be significantly impacted.
