Flood help available for Ottawa River residents

OTTAWA – The City of Ottawa recommends home and property at risk of flood damage register online with their new program to assist those who need it most.
“The city has partnered with Team Rubicon Canada and Ottawa Volunteer Search and Rescue to provide support to home and property owners along the Ottawa River in danger of flooding,” city staff released in a statement today (April 21). “Team Rubicon Canada and Ottawa Volunteer Search and Rescue can assist owners of private property with flood preparation efforts such as sandbagging or potential post-flood cleanup, such as debris removal.”
Home and property owners who may be affected by potential Ottawa River flooding can register online for help. Home and property owners may also call 2-1-1 to register.
