CBCM July cheer boxes ready for you
Special to WC Online
CONSTANCE BAY – As the Constance Bay Community Market (CBCM) pivots in the new reality of COVID-19, the organization has had success with their summer cheer boxes.
The CBCM created cheer boxes, to go packages filled with some of their regular vendors’ best products, as a way to continue to share their vendors’ products while being unable to host their regular monthly markets on the grounds of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church. The CBCM had special cheer boxes for Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day, thanks to some funding from the City of Ottawa, and was able to sellout their collection of cheer boxes at both events.
The CBCM is ready with their July cheer boxes now.
“In this month’s box, you’ll find lip balm, cooling after-sun spray, and body scrub to take care of your skin after a day at the beach,” the CBCM board released in a statement yesterday (July 19). “Stay hydrated and show your local pride with the BayLife branded water bottle, and use the handy cinch bag to hold everything you need when you’re out and about. We’re including some sweet snacks that you can eat on the go, like granola and fudge. Speaking of being on the go, this month’s cheer box includes a handmade mask that you can keep in your bag or in the car so you have something ready for those impromptu trips to the store. We’ve all been missing seeing our friends and loved ones in person, so this month’s box also includes a cute quarantine themed digital greeting card – you select and download the card you like and either print or email your celebratory wishes. And of course, no Cheer Box is complete without fresh roasted Barking Barista coffee.”
CBCM vendors are producing enough stock for a total of 30 boxes.
“Please act quickly if you’d like to purchase a cheer box as orders are first-come first-served,” the CBCM said.
Boxes are $60 each and will be ready for pick-up on Saturday, July 25 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at 205 Bayview Drive (St. Gabriel’s Parish) in Constance Bay.
“This month we are expanding our cheer box program to include a selection of add-on items,” the CBCM said. “You can choose to add fresh picked garlic, sourdough bread, maple syrup, crystal infused essential oil roller perfume, and extra bags of Squirrel?! for a special cheer box price.”
When ordering your Cheer Box, simply select the add-on items you’d like to purchase and the CBCM will have everything ready for you to pick up on Saturday.
