Rivermen comeback repeatedly in EOSHL playoffs

ARNPRIOR – It’s do or die time in the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) starting this Saturday (Feb. 18) for the Arnprior Rivermen, as they open round one of the playoffs against the Deseronto Bulldogs.

TIMMINS – First time national competitors, Huntley Curling Club’s (HCC) Team Frlan will end the Curling Canada U18 Championship with a 4-4 record.

RENFREW – It was the biggest stage 13-year-old Constance Bay resident Hunter Sim has ever played hockey on, and he rose to the occasion bringing home silver from the Ontario Winter Games (OWG) with the rest of his Ottawa Valley Titans AAA U14 teammates.

ARNPRIOR – The Arnprior Rivermen (10-9-1) hosted a record crowd Sunday (Feb. 5) for their Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) regular season finale, and hope to see similar numbers for their first playoff game scheduled for the Bert Hall Arena in Arnprior Saturday, Feb. 18.

CONSTANCE BAY – The Ottawa Valley Titans will be playing host at the Ontario Winter Games starting Thursday (Feb. 2) and Constance Bay’s Hunter Sim will be a key part of the team’s plan to be very bad hosts.

CARP – It’s been a heck of a season for Huntley Curling Club’s (HCC) U18 women’s team Team Frlan, who has dominated the competition on their way to qualifying for the U18 Canadian curling championship scheduled to begin Feb. 5.

KANATA – Two hockey players from the same mom, faced off against each other Saturday (Jan. 21) afternoon at the Jack Charron Arena as the U15 West Carleton Crusaders played a friendly hockey series against the Capital City Condors.

OSHAWA – The Huntley Curling Club’s (HCC) Team Frlan dominated the Ontario U18 Curling Championship last weekend, going undefeated on their way to conquer the provincial championship.

CONSTANCE BAY – The 2023 West Carleton Outdoor Hockey League (WCOHL) season kicked off Saturday (Jan. 14) with perfect, cold conditions after what must have been a lot of shovelling the day before.
