HOLLYWOOD – The Mel Gibson movie filmed in the Ottawa Valley, including Carp last March, now has a trailer.

CARP – The entries are in and even as we type, certified judges are pouring over submissions to award the coveted red ribbons in the Carp Fair 2020 Showcase.

CARP – Twenty-six local artists have been selected by an independent jury to participate in this year’s Expressions of Art Online Show and Sale hosted by the West Carleton Arts Society (WCAS).

WEST CARLETON – Carp photographer Freeman Keats spent the summer capturing the beauty, tranquility and character of West Carleton for a City of Ottawa project known as Microcosm.

MORRIS ISLAND – Having a garage instead of a porch was a boon for Vydon Acres musicians taking part in Play Music on the Porch Day held last Saturday (Aug. 29).

OLD OTTAWA EAST – It’s an anniversary not often celebrated in West Carleton, but an Ottawa musician has marked the 150th anniversary of The Great Fire with a song and video series.

CARP – The Carp Fair may be on hiatus for 2020, but area residents will still be able to compete in the agriculture and homecraft divisions this year in a showcase of the community’s best.
