CARP – For guests of the first Wild Brunch held at the Carp Mess Hall Sunday (Oct. 6), it was a meal fit for a king, found in the forest.

CARP – Perfect weather and an endless choice of things to do made the 161st Carp Fair a huge hit all weekend long.

CARP – The 2024 Diefenbunker Speaker Series debuted Thursday, Sept. 12, 75 feet underground with three Canadian female warriors talking about their role in the military and Canada’s military’s role on the world stage.

CARP – Orange Shirt Day has been celebrated in Canada since 2013. Last year a National Truth and Reconciliation Ceremony was held in Carp for the first time.

CARLETON PLACE – Earlier this year when Arts Carleton Place (ACP), a non-profit art organization, decided to look for gallery space it wasn’t long before they found the perfect spot.

CARP – Last Thursday evening (Aug. 22) Shakespeare buffs gathered behind the Diefenbunker, or perhaps we should say on top of the bunker, for an evening of intrigue and murder.

SARSFIELD – Two former politicians showed they could cut a line at the recent (Aug. 23, 24) Ottawa Carleton Plowmen’ Association (OCPA) Plowing Match, but not well enough to take home top prize.

DUNROBIN – A little rain never hurt anybody, and those attending last night’s (Aug. 22) St. Mary’s Old Time Corn Roast didn’t have to worry anyway, as the hard-working volunteers of St. Mary’s Anglican Church had their gazebos up and doors open.

CONSTANCE BAY – We don’t have a lot of details, but when a great non-profit organization like the Rural Root Theatre Company (RRTC) celebrates its 20th anniversary, you sound the horn early.
