DUNROBIN – Even though it was the day after Earth Day (April 23) the volunteers of St. Mary’s Anglican Church on the Sixth Line Road still found plenty of trash to pick up during its community clean-up held Saturday.

CARP – The first Carp Farmers’ Easter Market in three years, held last Saturday (April 16), was a reminder of markets prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, something the vendors, the visitors and all involved hope this year’s market season harkens back to.

WEST CARLETON – The two-year, ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has been particularly hard on the poor and vulnerable.

CONSTANCE BAY – It was a classic rock-and-roll party at Branch 616, raising money for a worthy cause last Saturday (April 2), so of course it was a hit.

CARP ROAD CORRIDOR – A brand-new youth addiction treatment facility is being built in the Carp Road Corridor following a major funding announcement made mid-March.

WEST CARLETON – Three years in the waiting, West Carleton was tickled green for the return of St. Patrick’s Day yesterday (March 17).

CARP – On Feb. 18, 2020, City of Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson was in Carp announcing the 2020 Alterna Savings U23 Men’s Canadian Fast Pitch Championship – an event that would be the largest sporting event in Carp’s history.

CARP – While there was a lot on the line including bragging rights and a giant trophy, last weekend’s (March 10-13) Huntley Curling Club’s (HCC) President’s Challenge Cup bonspiel was more of a joyous reunion of old friends who haven’t been able to step on the same sheet of ice with their neighbours for two long years.

CONSTANCE BAY – It was another huge hit on the ice last Sunday (March 6) with a record-tying number of registrants and a really big fish caught to take home the 15th annual Mike and Peter’s Fishing Derby championship trophy.
