CARP – Last Saturday morning (Oct. 19) the Carp Fairgrounds were in full swing.

KANATA – Last Tuesday (Oct. 8), the City of Ottawa hosted the second in its series of in-person consultations on the new Zoning Bylaw in Kanata.

ALMONTE – Last Saturday (Oct. 5), we took a drive to Almonte’s ‘hidden gem’ which, as it turns out, is nestled in the wilds of Mississippi Mills, in a clearing, at the end of a winding laneway.

KINBURN – It was a group of 13, many of those board members, representing a membership of 359 at the Arnprior Region of the Federation of Agriculture (ARFA) annual general meeting Monday (Oct. 7) evening.

CARP – A fitting event is building at the Carp Fair, as the Carleton 4-H Association works to make it’s 4-H Showmanship Showcase Showdown the local organization’s biggest award of the year.

BELLS CORNERS – The Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre (OVWBCC) has been rescuing and rehabilitating wild birds for more than 40 years.

CARP – Last Saturday night (Sept. 14) the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) Ottawa chapter hosted its final star party of the year. The heavens did not disappoint.

WEST CARLETON – West Carleton’s free clothing store, formerly known as Savvy Seconds, is entering in to its second year under Dee Staigh’s leadership, and is now entering a new phase with a new name, but still committed to providing free clothing to those families who need a break on their budget.

CONSTANCE BAY – last Saturday (Sept. 14), was Constance Bay’s annual softball league playoff tournament. Constance and Buckham’s Bay Community Association (CBBCA) Special events chair Meghann Blyth thought why not make it a whole darn festival.

CARP – It was a combined celebration of all three of the Anglican Parish of Huntley’s churches marking their combined 360 years of existence and crowds filled the lawns.
