KINBURN – There weren’t enough tables in Kinburn to serve everyone who showed up for brunch with Santa, but there was more than enough fun to be had by all who came out.

CITY HALL – When West Carleton Online decides to attend an Agriculture and Rural Affairs committee (ARAc) meeting, rest assured, it’s going to be a long one.

CONSTANCE BAY – Runners are a funny bunch. It doesn’t matter what the weather is, they’re always up for a run. Dogs are the same way.

CARP – it was the meeting opponents to the South March Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) have demanded for roughly a year, but they didn’t seem too happy about it once the town hall finally arrived last night (Nov. 25).

FITZROY HARBOUR – There is such a thing as too late to the Bethel-St. Andrew’s United Church Women Christmas Bazaar, and that happens somewhere around 11 a.m.

CARP – Last week (Nov. 13), after more than a decade in the making, the city presented its recommended plan for the widening of Carp Road to a jam-packed open house.

CONSTANCE BAY – A cool, overcast day was greeted with somber remembrance in Constance Bay Saturday (Nov. 8), and a story of a World War One soldier from Kinburn who gave his life in The Great War to hold the line for his comrades.

WEST CARLETON – Remembrance Day is an important time for contemplation in Ward 5 and this year the community will have two traditional events to participate in as well as a new event in Galetta, and each one is on a different day.

DUNROBIN – The new Dunrobin plaza remains empty for now, but yesterday (Oct. 29) dignitaries gathered on a sunny fall day to cut the ribbon on the most anticipated building in the community in years.

BLUEBERRY MOUNTAIN – Earlier this month (Oct. 18), hikers flocked to Blueberry Mountain to take in one of Lanark County’s Seven Wonders at the Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust (MMLT) annual Fall Colours Walk.
