DUNROBIN – Last week (Jan. 20) Evolugen, the Canadian operations business for Brookfield Renewables announced in a letter to West Carleton Online, they have selected a site just off Marchurst Road, approximately 3.4 kilometres from the village of Dunrobin, for a proposed Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) installation.

CITY HALL – While today’s (Jan. 23) Agriculture and Rural Affairs committee (ARAc) meeting focused on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facilities in general, the South March BESS was certainly the star of the show.

NEPEAN – The purchase of roughly 223 acres of land near Fitzroy Harbour will be discussed at next Thursday’s (Jan. 23) Agriculture and Rural Affairs committee (ARAc) meeting.

MARSHALL BAY – An unauthorized sign threatening a road closure on MacHardy Road, that appeared mysteriously a couple of weeks ago, is causing great concern and some fear for residents of Marshall Bay who live a kilometre beyond the sign.
