CARP – The residents of Meadowridge Circle shut down roads Saturday (Aug. 26) and were partying in the streets, celebrating community, and raising funds for Huntington’s disease.

DUNROBIN – Three new sailboats geared at teaching novice sailors how to sail solo is the prize thanks to a provincial grant the Kanata Sailing Club (KSC) announced Saturday (Aug. 20) afternoon.

KINBURN – Kinburn and Fitzroy Harbour volunteer firefighters went toe-to-toe over the summer and the unanimous winner was the West Carleton Food Access Centre (WCFAC).

CONSTANCE BAY – The Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) are crediting Dunrobin’s Jayden Lamarche for his role in a water rescue on the Ottawa River near Constance Bay today (Aug. 2).

KINBURN – A man who spent his entire life a Kinburn-area dairy farmer and leader in his community, Mervyn Tripp has passed away at the age of 104.

DUNROBIN – Congratulations to Dunrobin’s George and Ruth Kennedy celebrating their 65th anniversary today (July 20).

FITZROY HARBOUR – The Concerts in the Park music series kicked off in Fitzroy Provincial Park last Thursday (July 7) and judging by the large opening night crowd, it had been sorely missed over the last two years.

CARP – The volunteers of the Huntley Township Historical Society (HTHS) have spent the last two years giving their Carp Airport building a good COVID-cleaning and on June 25 opened their doors to the community for the first time since before the start of the pandemic.
