KINBURN – The mood was upbeat when the Kinburn Community Association (KCA) board met last week (Nov. 3) for their annual general meeting.  

WEST CARLETON – The West Carleton Food Access Centre (WCFAC) has launched its 2023 Christmas Initiative looking to combine those who need a little help this holiday season with those ready to give a little help this holiday season.

CARP – Husband-and-wife philanthropists Lawrence Greenspon, an Ottawa lawyer, and Angela Lariviere, a marketing executive, will co-chair the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre’s (DSYTC) Village of Hope campaign and work towards reaching its $4 million goal to complete construction on the brand-new treatment facility in the Carp Road corridor to support youth aged 13 to 21 struggling with mental health and substance use issues.

OTTAWA — Zexi Li, who became a symbol of the resistance after filing an injunction against the so-called Freedom Convoy last year, took the stand today (Oct. 16) as the trial against its organizers continued in Ottawa.
