Add music to your Carp summer camp experience
Special to WC Online
CARP – Gambit Music Academy is offering three weeks of a music-filled summer camp this summer and registration is now open.
The Gambit Music Academy will host a week-long summer camp starting July 24, July 31 and Aug. 8.
The week-long camps will focus on music, crafts, adventure and fun.
“All activities we plan we will do outside when we can (crafts and games etc.), weather permitting,” academy owner Jennifer Johnson released in a statement last week (May 17).
Each camp also offers the opportunity to build a ukulele.
“We’ll be including a Build Your Own Ukulele workshop, and of course, tutorials on how to play it, a visit to the National Art Centre, local trips around town, and a ton of music-making, we’re going to have a blast,” Johnson said.
Cost per person, per week for current Gambit students is $275 and $300 for non-students.
Other activities include a hike in the Carp Hills, instrument time, splash pad trips, song writing, crafts and games. The week will end with a talent show.
