Ottawa Christmas parades and markets schedule

Special to WC Online

OTTAWA – It’s a well-known marketing strategy that market saturation is the key to awareness.

I you want Santa to know you exist and you should be on the nice list, you better hit as many of the area’s Santa Claus parades and Christmas markets at you can. That’s where we come in.

The holiday season is inching closer with sleigh bells to be heard and shopping to be done and of course, this time of year festivities are getting underway. West Carleton Online has your schedule of holiday events (as well as the many published on our Events Listing that you won’t find below) across the city, for those who leave Ward 5 once in a while.

First up is the 55th Help Santa Toy Parade in downtown Ottawa on Saturday, Nov. 16. The route will start at Elgin Street and Laurier Avenue at 11 a.m. and then head west to Bank Street. The parade will then turn south onto Bank towards Lansdowne Park where it will end.

New, unwrapped toys will be accepted along the parade route, as well as monetary and ‘tap’ donations.
