Kanata baseball holding early tryouts starting October
Special to WC Online
KANATA – The Kanata Baseball Association (KBA) is holding early tryouts for next season’ rep teams in order to have them outside and be COVID-19 safe.
“We’re holding tryouts in Kanata on Oct. 3 and 4, for next season’s rep teams,” KBA volunteers released in a statement yesterday (Sept. 15). “This will allow us to hold tryouts outdoors and it eliminates the uncertainties that would have come with trying to hold indoor tryouts during the winter.”
The cost for the tryouts is $15. Players will be scheduled for two field times; one on Oct. 3 and another on Oct. 4.
“The exact field locations and schedule are still being finalized,” the KBA said. “We will share more details as soon as they are confirmed. The health and safety of our players and volunteers is our top priority. The KBA Return to Sport protocols will be followed during these tryouts.”
Registration for these tryouts is now open via the following link: https://www.rampregistrations.com/login?v3=86424152. Visit kanatabaseball.com for more information.
