WEST CARLETON – Be sure to take time out this weekend, to remember those who sacrificed everything for our freedom.
There will be two Remembrance Day services in West Carleton. On Saturday, Nov. 10 the West Carleton Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 616 will host their annual Remembrance Day Parade. The parade forms at the general store on Constance Bay Road at 1 p.m. and leaves from there at 1:30 p.m. travelling down Allbirch Road to the Legion. At the legion there will be a half hour ceremony at the Branch 616 Cenotaph.
On Sunday, Nov. 11 there will be a Remembrance Day service in Carp at the War Memorial on Donald B. Munro Drive. The service starts at 11 a.m. but organizers hope you will be in position by 10:45. Following the service, there will be a brunch at the Carp Agricultural Hall hosted by the Carp Fair.
