WC Wolverine winter workouts start March 24

WEST CARLETON – Are you read for some football?
Don’t be fooled by the name the West Carleton Wolverines Football Club winter workouts are this spring. They actually start tomorrow (March 24).
“All levels of Wolverines Tackle Football are looking for new players,” the club released in a statement. “Come out and join us for Winter Workouts to see how much fun Wolverines football is. Bring a friend and come join us for fun, friends and football.”
Children born in 2010 to 2004 are invited to attend any or all, of the upcoming winter workout starting Sunday, March 24 at 6 p.m. Workouts continue each consecutive week for a total of five. Tackle football nights are:
- Sunday, March 24 – 6 to 7 p.m.
- Sunday, March 31 – 6 to 7 p.m.
- Sunday, April 7 – 4 to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, April 14 – 5 to 6 p.m.
- Sunday, April 28 – 4 to 5 p.m.
Girls winter touch football (ages 2008 to 2000) workouts will be held:
- Sunday, March 24 – 7 to 8 p.m.
- Sunday, March 31 – 7 to 8 p.m.
- Sunday, April 7 – 5 to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, April 14 – 6 to 7 p.m.
- Sunday, April 28 – 5 to 6 p.m.
Coaches recommend bringing shorts, a t-shirt, cleats or running shoes, water “and a friend.”
Workouts will be held at the Oz Dome at 221 Westbrook Rd. Carp. The cost is $5 per session or $20 for all five. There is no pre-registration required.
