WC Rivermen tryouts go Sept. 12 in Kanata

KANATA – Do you think you have what it takes to play for the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) for the defending regular season champions?
The West Carleton Rivermen will be holding tryouts during the team’s second training camp at the Bell Sensplex in Kanata on Sept. 12 from noon to 2 p.m.
“Do you think you have what it takes to join us on the Rivermen?” Rivermen management released in a statement Friday (Aug. 27). “Please sign up for our training camp game on Sept. 12 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Bell Sensplex in Kanata.”
Camp will be limited to 30 skaters and six goalies and is open to adults 19 and older.

Registration to participate is $50.
“Once your email has been replied to and your spot confirmed we will accept eTransfers as payment,” the Rivermen said. “We hope to see some excited and talented players out trying their hardest to crack our line-up.”
The newly relocated Almonte Inferno is also hosting its camp for the 2021-2021 National Capital Junior Hockey League (NCJHL) season.
“Junior hockey is back in Almonte,” the Inferno released in a statement. “Registration is open for players born between 2001 and 2005. Perfect for U18 graduates.”
The NCJHL is a Jr. C level league. Inferno camp starts Sept. 7 and runs to Sept. 21 with four ice times. NCJHL pre-season games begin Sept. 17. The cost for the entire camp is $165.
“Hockey is back and the Inferno would like to invite interested players to join us for our Main Camp,” the Inferno said. “Open to returning players, free agents and junior players with permission to skate.”
