By Jake Davies - West Carleton Online
CARP – The businesses and landlords of the Village of Carp Business Improvement Area (BIA) will take a look back at a very challenging 2021, while making plans to move forward during the association’s annual general meeting Jan. 25.
The Village of Carp BIA will virtually host its 2022 AGM on Tuesday, Jan. 25 starting at 10 a.m.
Like all AGMs, the meeting is open to the public and the organizations will share its financial report for 2021 and budget directions for 2022.
There are 19 BIAs in the City of Ottawa, all representing unique business communities. There are two BIAs in West Carleton including the Carp Road Corridor BIA. Members of a BIA pay an additional levy on top of their City of Ottawa municipal taxes. Those funds are directed back to the BIA association to be used to promote and support the business community within the BIAs’ boundaries.
Those interested in attending the Village of Carp BIA AGM must register in advance and this can be done here.
