Teen leadership camp coming to C Bay for March Break

CONSTANCE BAY – The Carp Ridge Learning Centre (CRLC) will be turning youth in to leaders over the March Break.
The CRLC is host a one-week March Break Teen Leadership Camp starting March 13 at the NorthWind Wireless Fibre Centre (262 Len Purcell Dr.) in Constance Bay.
The camp is open to youth aged 14 to 16 and costs $50.
“We aim to create a safe space of fun and play, many of these activities and games will have a teaching component and be used to discuss important topics such as life lessons for success, cooperation, confidence, and consideration for the natural world,” the CRLC released in a statement.
Throughout the week, camp attendees will learn communication skills, yoga, nature/campfire skills, sound therapy, self-care strategies, mindfulness, crafts, Indigenous teachings and live action theatre play.
Four of the five days will take place at the Constance and Buckham’s Bay community centre using the multi-purpose room and commercial kitchen. Wednesday, March 15 will take place at the Carp Ridge EcoWellness Centre (2386 Thomas A. Dolan Pkwy.) for a day of wilderness training.
Healthy lunches and snacks are provided. There is a maximum of 16 participants and the camp is presented by the CRLC in cooperation with the Constance and Buckham’s Bay Community Association (CBBCA).
