St. Paul’s cemetery decoration service cancelled

KINBURN – The St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery Decoration Service scheduled for Sunday, June 21 has been cancelled due to ongoing risks stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Due to the Bereavement Authority of Ontario Registrar’s Directives for COVID -19, the Memorial Service is cancelled for for St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery on Diamondview Road,” volunteer Pat Weir told West Carleton Online today (May 20). 

The cemetery, located at 3303 Diamondview Rd., is still open to the public but please respect the physical distancing rules currently in effect.

“Donations to help with the expenses of the cemetery would be greatly appreciated,” Weir said. Donations can be made payable to:  St. Paul’s Cemetery Fund, c/o Parish of Fitzroy Harbour, 192 Shirreff Street, P.O. Box 191, Fitzroy Harbour, ON. K0A 1X0.
