Rain up to 75 mm expected in WC

WEST CARLETON – Environment Canada is expecting lots of rain starting tomorrow (Sept. 13).
Environment Canada issued a Rainfall Warning today (Sept. 12) expecting rainfall amounts between 50 and 75 millimetres.
“Rain, at times heavy, is expected,” Environment Canada released in a statement. “Rainfall amounts of 50 to 75 mm. Locally higher amounts are possible for areas that receive prolonged downpours or multiple thunderstorms.”
Environment Canada is expecting the rain starting Tuesday morning through early Wednesday morning.
“Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads,” Environment Canada said. “Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.”
