Quyon Ferry open to ‘essential travel’ Thursday, Friday

FITZROY HABOUR – The Quyon Ferry will be ferrying “essential” travellers this Thursday after an extended closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We will be open for essential travel only this Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1,” the owners (Ralph and Ed McColgon) released in a statement today (April 28). “Both days from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.”

The ferry will then be closed over the weekend and will pose a revised schedule for the week of May 4 to May 8.

In an effort to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, for the first time in the ferry’s history, customers will now be able to pay with Interac debit machines.
