For the past several years, whenever someone asked me what my New Year’s resolution was, I’d give the same answer.

CARP – Last year the volunteers of St. Paul’s United Church received a New Horizons grant from the federal government. With it they hosted a speaker series focusing on senior issues tacking it on to the back end of the church’s very popular Soupindipity soup and sandwich event on the first Tuesday of every month.

DUNROBIN – No stranger to West Carleton, Kanata-Carleton MPP Karen McCrimmon’s career has included three decades in the Canadian Forces followed by six years as a Liberal MP for Kanata-Carleton (2015-2021).

CARP – Making your own wreath is an incredible way to add a personal touch to holiday decorating, so why not learn from those who turn Ottawa’s downtown in to a Christmas wonderland every year?

OSHAWA – The Huntley Curling Club’s (HCC) Team Frlan seems to win bigger and bigger bonspiels every new curling season, and the young ladies from west Ottawa can now add the Canadian Junior Cup to their overcrowded trophy case.

FITZROY HARBOUR – St. Michael Fitzroy School has long believed that caring for creation begins with hands-on learning, community connection and a deep respect for the natural world around us.
