KINBURN – For the first time in the history of the CARHA Hockey ODR Contest, which debuted during COVID, representatives of the not-for-profit recreational hockey insurers got to visit one of the winning outdoor rinks.
PAKENHAM – The Pakenham Maple Run Tour returns on April 4 and 5, inviting visitors to explore the creative offerings and maple syrup heritage of the Ottawa Valley.
OTTAWA – Dunrobin’s Alex Lawson can’t officially declare his candidacy for mayor of Ottawa until May 1, but he has his first rally scheduled for May 23.
WEST CARLETON – In March of 2023, all three levels of government gathered in Dunrobin to announce $13 million in combined funding heading to Bell Network to provide 6,400 homes in West Carleton and Renfrew County with high-speed Internet service.
BELLS CORNERS – Each year in Ontario, Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver more than three million nutritious meals to as many as 70,000 people who might otherwise be unable to live independently.
NEPEAN – The All Saints Catholic High School curling team, well represented with West Carleton athletes, is heading to Thunder Bay, ON, to take part in the Ontario high school curling championship.
OTTAWA – As part of their education Carleton University students have been working on a plan to address rural transit problems, specifically addressing the Village of Carp, and last Monday (March 9) they unveiled it to a group of dignitaries.
